He wakes up in the infirmary with Dr. Tancredi attending to his wounds who asks him for a reason behind such horrible burns, he could offer none. She confides in a nurse she finds fibers off a guard’s uniform from Michael’s wounds. Meanwhile, agents Brinker and Kellerman view surveillance tapes from outside the judge’s office where the medical documents were left and found that led to the postponement of the execution and they spot the shadow of Lincoln and Michael’s father as the source. Incidentally, the burns on Michael’s back have partially destroyed part of the escape plan map leaving them with an incomplete escape plan.
